LVS plays to scoreless draw with #3

The Lady Vikings Soccer Program is hosting the nation's most important winter high school event, the National Elite Prep Showcase Presented by JATO.

What a way to kick off the event by playing host to the nations #3 team, Plano West. The Lady Vikings took some time to adjust to the constant wave of attacking from the Lady Wolves but settled in nicely and some end to end action took place.  Both teams traded punches as the first half came to a close.

"They were very dangerous but so were we," said LVS head coach Jay Fitzgerald.
The match saw both teams defend hard and take away each chance each teams' offense tried to build up.  The ball stayed on the ground as each team tried to get themselves some space to get the games first goal.

Well the first goal never happened, and the way the teams were defending, it was never going to happen.  Fitzgerald continued saying, "As hard as both teams battled tonight, they bent but didn't break.  Our backline was tremendous and our captain, senior center back, Regan Hafer was an incredible leader tonight on both sides of the ball."

The Lady Vikings take on Colleyville Heritage tomorrow afternoon at 4:00pm... follow that match LIVE on Periscope @nepShowcase.
