LVS busy to start out 2016; Road Trip TONIGHT

The Lady Vikings Soccer Program kicked of 2016 with a bang... training on the 1st, a friendly with the nation's #1 and #8 team at Southlake and Grapevine, followed up by the 14th Annual LVS Alumni Game.

The Alumni looked like they didn’t miss a beat, represented by former players from the Class of 2004 through the Class of 2015.
Head coach, Jay Fitzgerald said, "This is always the highlight of my year as we get to see the LVS Alumni that have given so much of themselves to our program and have helped grow it into the successfully recognized program that it is."

The Lady Vikings JV and Varsity take to the road once again to kick-off the second half of their district season at John Paul II tonight at 5:30pm and 7:00pm. 

Both teams will start their tournament season at the end of the week with the JV competing in the GCISD JV Invitational and the varsity hosting the National Elite Prep Showcase Presented by JATO.
Nolan Catholic High School co-hosts the nation’s most competitive tournament, NEPS with Southlake Carroll, which once again includes only the best teams, not only in the area, but in the nation.

There are 34 total teams from North Texas, South Texas, Nothern & Southern California, and Florida.

Four teams in this years showcase have been ranked #1 in the nation in the last several years, while 20 of this years 34 teams have gained national respect already this year in the National Rankings.

NEPS 2016 has 3 of the Top 5 teams, including 6 of the Top 10 teams in the country getting their season started in Fort Worth.   Even more impressive, 10 of the Top 25 teams in the country are in the event as well.
