The TWU soccer team scored three goals in the first half and added two more in the second en route to a 5-0 win over Texas A&M-International in the Pioneers' 2013 season opener. The game was played on a neutral site at St. Edward's in Austin, Texas.
Five different players scored for the Pioneers as tne team snapped a seven-game winless streak in the season openers. TWU was led by sophomore Lauren Smith with three points on a goal and an assist while freshman Tori Crook added two assists. Junior Emily Davila, sophomore Kayla Gorney and freshmen Alisa Velasquez and Gabrielle Larson also found the net for the Pioneers.
See Gaby in action tomorrow night at the TWU Field at 7:30pm against Harding and then again on Sunday against Northwestern Oklahoma State at 2:00pm at TWU Field as well.
